"I have been
working with Brian for over two years and he has taught me to be
a better player physically and mentally. He has also helped me
understand my swing as well. I consider Brian more then a coach
but a friend, someone who I can communicate with. Lastly, Brian
has helped me accomplish many of my goals including playing golf
at a Division I College."

"I have known
Brian King for approximately 20 years and have watched his
development as a golf professional. Brian is one of the most
competent teaching professionals anywhere in the Chicago area.
He has the knowledge that is needed to teach players at all
levels. He has an easy low key approach which allows students to
relax in the instructional setting. Brian gets results and cares
about his student's long term improvement."
Dr. Jim Suttie
National PGA Teacher of the Year
We met Brian
when our son was in grade school. Brian fostered a real interest
in golf due to his ability to relate, communicate and encourage
our son. As a result of Brian’s instruction, our son played
competitive golf for his high school for four years. Ben was
shooting in the low 50's to high 40's entering his freshman year
and by the time he was a senior he had an average of 39. Brian
also taught our son how to master the mental challenges of the
game. We believe that our son’s success is due to the life long
lessons taught by Brian that go beyond the golf course.

"Brian's
focus on the fundamentals of the golf swing, reinforced by video
analysis, is re-making my golf swing (at 53 years old!). He has
helped me cut 10 strokes off my handicap in just one season. His
individualized approach considers my particular strengths and
weaknesses as opposed to the cookie-cutter instruction offered
by other professionals. I look forward to continued improvement
in the coming seasons.

"I have been
working with Brian for four years. The instruction continues to
be fascinating. Brian is always working with cutting edge
information. The video and internet technology has helped
immensely. Brian can quickly analyze your swing and lead you to
better shot making. Brian's drills for practice have lead to
better scoring and shot making. The time Brian has spent with
me on the course for instruction has benefited my course
management understanding. I always refer people to Brian King
because his simple, calm approach can benefit any golfer."

"Brian
has accelerated my game through work on the range and the golf
course to achieve my goal of playing Division I college golf."

"Brian has been more than
willing to help, he has helped me immensely with the goals that
I have set for myself. Coach has taken me to the next level with
my entire game so that I can compete with top ranked juniors."

On Brian's
Approach to Teaching...
"If you are
looking to truly improve and understand your golf swing and are
committed to change ... Brian King's approach is to give you
basic fundamentals which we can all learn and apply and retain
no matter your skill level."
On Winter
Lessons with Brian...
"If it weren’t for Winter closing
our golf season, we’d probably never take the time to both get
instruction & practice technique. I’ve found indoor video
lessons to be valuable in matching what I "feel" to what I
really do (i.e. no more illusions!). The feedback is immediate
and through patient instruction I’ve learned proper technique
to help my swing be more consistent. It’s more thoughtful and
productive than pounding ball after ball on the range. I’m
looking forward to the coming golf season!!"
Larry Hanley
"I really
look forward to my lessons each week during the winter months.
It's a perfect time of year to focus on learning proper
technique. During the playing season, its hard to take the time
and the backward steps usually involved with improving one's
golf swing. The golf studio is a great place to correct minor
flaws or in my case, revamp my golf swing. There are no
distractions unlike some crowded golf domes. The video monitors
provide instant visual feedback that I find extremely helpful.
The training aids really make it easy to understand and practice
what Brian is teaching."
Jim Manning
"I believe winter instruction
is a good time to work on your game. I must admit that I
was a little skeptical about hitting balls into a net.
However, after participating in Brian’s winter instruction
program, I can honestly say that it has helped my son’s game
tremendously. The one on one time with Brian, along with the
video technology, is invaluable and has had a huge impact on
his swing. Each week he gave my son drills to practice so
that he can begin to feel more comfortable with his swing
changes. This “off time” in the winter is a great
opportunity to work on developing a better golf swing.
Because he is not playing in any tournaments, he can
concentrate solely on his mechanics and shed off bad
habits. This is a great head start to next year’s
successes, I can hardly wait for play to begin."

The lessons at
Prairie Landing’s indoor practice facility with coach Brian King
have greatly improved my golf game. Some of the key things that
coach Brain and I have been talking about are lagging, bending
my right elbow, and my balance. We have been analyzing my swing
with a computer program so we can see this in slow motion. We
also have been hitting on a machine that measures the speed of
the club head, distance of the ball, also the degree of the club
head, and a lot of other information that helps coach make my
swing better. Coach Brain is very hands on and helps me with my
swing by moving the club too. We have been working on putting
too. We have been putting on a board that looks like the drawing
below. With the support of my coach and my parents I will
hopefully get better and better.

I decided to take indoor lessons
this year in order to avoid forgetting everything I learned in
the summer and to try to maintain focus on my game over the
winter. I assumed the indoor lessons would not provide the same
level of benefit as outdoor because I wouldn't see the shot
result hitting into a net. It turns out the indoor lessons were
better for me because I didn't worry about the result of the
shot. I could completely focus on making the swing correction.
The drill Brian gave me to practice at home helped me to ingrain
the swing change without the need to go to a range. This
combination allowed me adjust to the swing change quickly
(well...quickly for golf) I am very pleased with the results!
